About my fundraiser:
ShelterBox has been part of my life since I was 11, when my mom accepted the role of president of the organization. In the years since, I’ve watched her deploy to places like Ukraine, Jamaica, and Morocco, helping deliver emergency shelter and essentials to families in crisis.
While she’s been out doing that work, I’ve been here in New York finishing my degree as an English major at Columbia University, where I’ll graduate this May. Running this half-marathon is my way of giving back to the organization my mom has poured her heart into for the past eleven years, and I’m incredibly proud to support ShelterBox’s mission.
